Items
for Interlocks
A variety of Safety Interlocks are available to assist users with
interlocking gates and doors to prevent unauthorized access to hazardous
areas. Units are available in low duty, heavy duty, ultra-heavy duty,
as well as non-contact and enabling switch configurations.

STANDARD/LOW
DUTY-LOCK
This versatile line of switches has a high-quality, recyclable plastic
housing that is the most compact and lightweight of its class. There
are four lateral approach directions in addition to one from the top,
which are quickly and easily adjusted. The small interlock width allows
trouble-free mounting on small profiles. Non-locking and locking versions
are available. Switching elements with two or four contacts provide
flexible connections. Up to three cable entries are possible.
HEAVY
DUTY-LOCK
The i100 Series was developed for the harsh conditions in mechanical
and plant construction. The die-cast metal housing, high-quality materials
used for the plunger, driving mechanism and seals guarantee a long
life. A C-rail ensures absolute protection against manipulation. It
is available in Category 1 (switch and actuator from one piece) or
Category 2 (switching member and actuator are two pieces). Variable
actuator entry approach directions allow the switches to be used almost
anywhere for protecting people and machines.
ULTRA HEAVY DUTY-LOCK
These extremely robust modular electro-mechanical safety interlocks
provide unique modular solutions for safety applications. They allow
for simple selection of the components required for safeguarding work
processes and machines. Zinc alloy and stainless steel components.
Reliability has been tested for more than 1,000,000 switching operations.
Visual checks via LED status indicators. Two piece construction with
ring or tongue actuators. Locking and non-locking switches available.
E100
A hand operated command unit, the E100 allows the operation of machines
in hazardous areas. To operate, the user presses down for activation.
If the user lets go or pushes down too far, the machine movement stops.
In the ¡°Manual Operation¡° mode, the function of the protective system
is overridden by the E100 under certain conditions. This allows access
to the hazardous areas so that programming, adjustment and / or commissioning
work may be carried out.
T4000
The T4000 is a non-contact safety interlock with an electronically
encoded actuator for the ultimate manipulation prevention. It is ideal
for heavy or large doors because it also allows for imprecise alignment.
It is well suited for increased demands regarding hygiene, as well
as when extreme vibrations are present. The evaluation unit read head
has three-part construction, redundant relay outputs and diagnostic
LEDs. The encoded actuator features a unique electronic code, preventing
switch manipulation. The T4000 complies to Safety Category 4. It also
features internal self-testing without opening the protective system.
It can be flush mounted in the door or bulkhead.
